Hospitality Recrutment & Consultancy
My career in hospitality spans four decades, built primarily in
London's West End but also across East London and New York City.

I began as a specialist cocktail bartender, developing an expertise in bar design that led to a significant early role at the Café de Paris — one of London's most storied venues. As licensee there, I wrote and delivered a 40-hour intensive bartending course through my own school of bartending, while simultaneously taking responsibility for all compliance, health and safety policy, risk assessments and staff induction and training. That combination — creative craft on one side, rigorous operational discipline on the other — has defined my approach ever since.

From the Café de Paris I established my hospitality consultancy, initially specialising in bar operations and compliance. I completed my MBA and built financial controlling into my consultancy remit, giving me the commercial rigour to work at general management and director level. I then created and launched my own brand, The Soul Café, in Soho which extended my practice to include interior design, brand development and marketing — I understand those disciplines because I have done them, not just advised on them.

More recently I have been based at my own East London pub, focusing on community-led operations, security oversight and licensing for outdoor and large-scale events. Throughout all of this I have designed management systems, built teams and developed talent at every level of the hospitality structure.

I now bring that full range of experience — operational, commercial, creative and compliance-led — to a consultancy and recruitment practice that is genuinely full-service. I use the latest tools in technology and AI to work efficiently and deliver more for less. But the foundation is four decades of doing the job, at every level, in some of the most demanding hospitality environments in the world.

My restaurant, cocktail bar, music venue and nightclub concept first opened in London's Soho in 1999. We are yet to build further on the concept's success but hopefully some time in the near future.
